Art for your Sake An important decision some of us take in life is to commission a painting or work of art to our own requirements.
Many of us gain much pleasure from pictures, whether they be prints or originals; we are pleased to have them to look at and sometimes for the mere pleasure of ownership. Even so, with the exception of photographs, we rarely hang a picture of special personal significance. Perhaps the closest is a print of somewhere we have visited.
I offer the opportunity for you to hang a beautiful and highly detailed watercolour of your chosen subject which is planned and painted to give you maximum pleasure at an affordable price.
Painting Sizes and Prices Painting sizes start at A4 as the smallest and all sizes up to A1.
Prices start from £250.00 GBP
Process The typical process to create such a painting would be for us to meet at the location (although I can work from photos) and for you to express your thoughts and feelings for the scene, be it a property or landscape.
In the case or Figures or Portraits a meeting is essential.
I will take notes, sketch sections and photograph for reference and we will agree what should be in the painting, what should be removed, and any other special requirements. As an example, I have painted house and garden scenes which have included young family members playing in some typical fashion, or party scenes which evoke certain memories.
Then a drawing is produced which will be a monochrome view expressing those discussions, and which will be in every respect the painting barring colour.
When the drawing is agreed with you, it will then be re-drawn in the size required, painted and mounted ready for you to get framed -
Contact Us None of my originals or commissioned works are sold with copyright, although it is not my practice to reproduce any commissions without the agreement of the owner. On occasions, I am asked to paint a scene which the buyer believes may be of interest to others in print form. If this is the case and such a market is identified I will agree special terms for the original.
